Nobel Prize recognises discoveries of novel therapies against parasitic infections.

ASK Scientific congratulates the three scientists who jointly won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2015. The award was divided with one half jointly shared between William C. Campbell (Drew University, USA) and Satoshi Ōmura (Kitasato University, Japan) and the other half went to Youyou Tu (China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China). Cambell and Ōmura discovered a novel therapy to treat infections caused by ringworm parasites. Tu was awarded for her contribution of a novel therapy against Malaria.
